There is so much happening with manufacturing in North Carolina right now and we’re so glad our Western North Carolina mill is part of a renewed investment in the region. This NEWYORKTIMES.COM article describes how new companies are bringing business to the region to fill gaps from when so much of the region’s historical textile and furniture manufacturing business left – a period in history that caused a lot of hurt and economic hardship to communities that depended on those industries. We love knowing that our revival of the formerly Abercrombie Mills (now Crypton Mills!) ensured that the people of Cliffside and King’s Mountain, North Carolina who relied on the mill’s operations for their livelihoods, didn’t experience any gaps.
